Readers trust Gaming PC VR to give them a straight answer about headsets, consoles and handhelds. The rules below explain how we try to earn that trust in every article.

Our Core Commitments

  • Editorial independence. Coverage decisions are made by our editors alone. Manufacturers, retailers and platform holders do not review or approve our content.
  • No pay-to-play. We do not sell placements, sponsored rankings or “best of” slots. A brand cannot pay to be included, ranked higher or left out of a comparison.
  • Disclosed conflicts. We currently do not accept free headsets, consoles or handhelds in exchange for coverage. If we ever receive a sample or enter a brand relationship relevant to an article, that article will say so.

Sourcing Rules

  • Primary sources are used first: official spec pages, manuals, compatibility lists and system update notes.
  • Performance and comfort claims must come from identifiable source types, such as independent review outlets, VR-focused publications or substantial owner discussions.
  • No unsourced numbers. Field of view, battery life, weight and resolution figures all need a source we can point to.
  • When sources disagree, for example two outlets reporting different battery runtimes, we present the range, explain likely reasons (game, brightness, power mode) and avoid picking the most flattering figure.

How We Use AI

AI assists with outlining, research gathering and drafting. Human editors rewrite, fact-check and approve every piece. AI is never used to invent specifications, results or user experiences, and we don’t present AI-generated text as personal impressions.

Update Cadence

VR and handheld platforms change through frequent software updates, so key guides are reviewed regularly and after major launches, firmware or OS changes, and price shifts. Revised articles display their latest update date.
